COVID booster shots for children 5 to 11 years old!

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorizes Omicron-tailored COVID-19 booster shots from Moderna Inc and Pfizer Inc!

Moderna's bivalent vaccine is for those aged six and above, while Pfizer's vaccine is for those aged five and above.

Pfizer says it has the capacity to ship up to 6 million pediatric vaccine doses in the first seven calendar days.

 As per U.S. government data, The BA.5 subvariant of Omicron is currently the dominant strain with nearly 79% of the cases in the country.

11.5 million people (5.4% of the people aged 12 or older) received the updated shots last month.
